I only had my photography camera tonight and was holding it by hand, but I was still able to get some good photos from my back garden just outside Moffat. These two are the Moon and Venus with a tree in silhouette.
Hopefully, this is the start of many more Moffat Astronomy photography, now that I have found my own little dark sky area, free from light pollution!
Moffat is good for Astronomy due to its rural location and the local council have replaced all the street lighting with the new energy efficient, dark sky friendly LED lighting.
